Faking It

If you only have one fake book, it's probably The Ultimate Jazz Fake Book compiled by Dr. Herb Wong.  Available in C, Bb and Eb editions, this valuable reference contains the melody, chords and lyrics for over 650 standards and jazz classics.

But it doesn't have everything . . . and here's a list of a few of the tunes we think Dr. Wong overlooked.  Maybe one day he'll publish a sequel; in the meantime, click on the titles below to see the chords to some of the tunes we hope he'll include someday in The Penultimate Jazz Fake Book.  (We've included some midi files; the chords don't necessarily match those in the charts.)
