Upcoming Spring/Summer 2018 Concerts

3/30/2018

2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the Sea to Sky Wind Ensemble. The wind ensemble has the following concerts scheduled:

Spring Concert: Tuesday, May 8th at Capilano University
North Shore Band Fest: Sunday, June 17th at Shipbuilder's Square North Vancouver

Jazz Connexion has the following events planned:

Apr 22nd @ 6 pm: Two Lions Pub
June 2nd @ 12:30 pm: Hats Off Day in Burnaby Heights
July 17th: North Shore Band Fest (with SSWE)

This year also marks the 40th anniversary of the Freddy Fuddpucker band. Check out their Facebook Page for information about gigs and parties to mark the occasion.

Carols of the Season

The Sea to Sky Wind Ensemble will be performing an annual Winter concert at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church on Tuesday December 12th! Performance begins at 7:30pm so be sure to be a few minuets early to park and find a seat. Admission by donation and all proceeds will be donated to the Lookout Shelter (an emergency aid society that operates across the lower mainland).

Halloween Fangtastic

The Sea to Sky Wind Ensemble and Jazz Connexion have a joint Halloween concert at Capilano University, Wednesday, Oct 25, 2017.

Be sure to come in costume, as there will be prizes for the best costume for participating audience members :)

Jazz at the WestCoast Big Band Festival

Jazz Connexion will be performing at the WestCoast Big Band Festival at Northwood United Church, Surrey, Saturday, Oct 14, 2017.

The Fudds will be playing at the CIBC Run for the Cure, under the Georgia Viaduct, 9:30am Sunday October 1st
Jazz Connexion will be performing at the WestCoast Big Band Festival at Northwood United Church, Surrey, Saturday, Oct 14, 2017
The Sea to Sky Wind Ensemble and Jazz Connexion have a joint Halloween concert at Capilano University, Wednesday, Oct 25, 2017 @ 7:30 pm

Welcome back from the Summer break, time to dust off your instruments!

First rehearsal of the season for both Jazz Connexion and Sea to Sky Wind Ensemble will be Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Windsor Secondary School.

Jazz Connexion: 6:30 pm to 7:55 pm
SSWE: 8:05 pm to 9:30 pm

The Jazz Connexion is happy to welcome Christian Morrison as their new director. Thank you to Aaron Hardie for directing the band for the last four years.

SSWE at the Kitsilano Showboat

The Sea to Sky Wind Ensemble finished off our season last night, performing at the Kitsilano Showboat. Thank you to Shirley for the photo.

We will be back rehearsing in September. Have a great summer!

Jazz at the Two Lions Pub

The Jazz Connection will be performing at the Two Lions Pub (2601 Westview Drive) on Sunday, May 21, from 2pm to 4:30pm. Admission is fee. Reservations are recommended!

SSWE Summer Concerts

The Sea to Sky Wind Ensemble has two upcoming concerts to finish off our 2016/2017 season.

An outdoor concert at West Vancouver Community Day on Saturday, June 3 at 3 pm to 3:45 pm. We will be performing on the stage by the Ferry Building Gallery (1414 Argyle Ave).

An outdoor evening concert at Kitsilano Showboat on Wednesday, June 21, 8 pm to 8:45pm. Kitsilano showboat stage, 2300 Cornwall Ave.
